Dr. Kimberly Q. Pham is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She expresses great joy and passion in managing ocular disease/pathology and co-management of refractive and cataract surgery pre and post-operative care.
Dr. Pham performs comprehensive eye examinations and manages and co-manages ocular disease that include but are not limited to ocular dryness, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataracts, corneal infections/injuries, and conjunctival infections. In addition to comprehensive examinations, Dr. Pham regularly performs cornea and contact lens evaluations to help fit her patients in the best lenses personal for every patient’s individual needs.
Dr. Pham is a proud native Texan who was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology in 2008. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry in 2013 in Yorba Linda, CA. She is fluent in English, Vietnamese, and is able to comprehend and speak limited medical Spanish.
Dr. Pham completed multiple internships during her fourth year of optometry school. She gained extensive knowledge in managing ocular diseases, with heavy emphasis on retinal pathology and diabetic ocular diseases and manifestations at Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital under the Gila River Health Care system in Sacaton, AZ. Dr. Pham became very familiar in helping underserved communities who have had little to no access to eyecare in Los Angeles, CA and Orange County, CA. She had great emphasis and management of ocular diseases at the JWCH Institute clinic for community health, Optometric Center of Los Angeles, and the Orange County Rescue Mission HOPE family housing. Dr. Pham completed her last internship in Low Vision at the Low Vision Clinic of Los Angeles in Culver City, CA.
During her last year of optometry school, she and her classmate were selected to present their research in poster format at the American Academy of Optometry in Seattle, WA in October 2013 on the Comparison of the Accuracy of the NETRA to the NIDEK 510A Auto refractor.
Dr. Pham is an active member of the Central Texas Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association, and American Optometric Society. She has over 5 years of refractive surgery co-management experience and continues to stay updated with the latest recommendations in surgical options for her patients.
Dr. Pham is passionate about making every patient feel like family and ensuring they learn something new about their eyes. As Co-Founder of the practice, she is excited to bring a unique clinical and optical experience to the Georgetown and Texas Hill Country community for years to come!
Dr. Pham is very passionate about music. She plays the piano and sang competitively since she was a child. Sometimes upon patient requests, she will sing them song or two!
When Dr. Pham is not thinking about eyes, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, 2 dogs, and cat! She and her husband are proud foodies, amateur photographers, and Disney fanatics who love traveling and creating new adventures together!
